Ms. Zeid’s settlement was on behalf of an elderly gentleman who was wheelchair bound. After the transportation bus arrived at his home to bring him on a trip, the attendant failed to properly secure the wheelchair’s brakes causing the wheelchair to roll off the lift and the gentleman to fall out of the wheelchair striking his head on the pavement. The injuries were:
1) a displaced skull fracture;
2) a cervical spine fracture; and,
3) a traumatic brain injury. This lawsuit was filed in Ocean County.
