Rothenberg Law Firm Participates in Student‑Led S.A.F.E. Summit at The Philadelphia School District Administration Building

Philadelphia, PA (March 2026) — The Rothenberg Law Firm (www.injurylawyer.com) , a Philadelphia-based personal injury law firm that has protected injured victims and families for over  55 years, participated in this year’s student-led S.A.F.E. (Safety, Assistance, Family, and Empowerment) Summit organized by the Philadelphia High School for Girls.

The firm hosted a resource table at the event where students were able to pick up Rothenberg Law Firm safety swag as well as discuss safety and law related matters. Additionally,  Melissa Rothenberg-Kapustin, Esq. a partner at Rothenberg Law Firm, was one of the Summit’s featured speakers. Melissa discussed the importance of personal safety relevant to teens like not driving drunk or high, not texting behind the wheel and other related safety tips. In addition to reminding the students of the importance of staying safe, Melissa mentioned her own experience of juggling a career as a working mother- and encouraged the students to aim high in their own career aspirations and personal goals.

Supports Student-Led S.A.F.E. Summit

For more than five decades, Rothenberg Law Firm has represented individuals and families affected by serious injuries, unsafe conditions, and preventable accidents. Educating young people about safety, awareness, and knowing their rights aligns directly with the firm’s long-standing mission: protecting the community before and after tragedy strikes.

“We are proud to support a program that empowers students with knowledge and real-world resources,” said Melissa Rothenberg-Kapustin, Esq.

“Understanding personal safety, accountability, and available community support systems is critical for young people as they prepare for adulthood.”

A Movement Sparked by a Freshman,

The S.A.F.E. Summit began in 2022 when a freshman at Girls’ High saw the challenges facing her peers — concerns about safety, family stability, and access to resources — and decided that “someone should do something.”

That “someone” became the students themselves.

Now a member of the Class of 2026, she led the most ambitious Summit to date. The event brought together junior and senior high school students and parents from across the School District of Philadelphia for a day of student-designed, student-led breakout sessions and direct access to community services.

The S.A.F.E. Summit sought to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world challenges. By placing students at the center of the conversation, the program removes barriers and fosters peer-to-peer education, community engagement, and informed decision-making.

For Rothenberg Law Firm, participation is a natural extension of its commitment to Philadelphia families. By supporting student leadership and promoting safety awareness, the firm continues its 55-year tradition of community advocacy — helping ensure young people have the information and resources they need to protect themselves and their futures.
